Connecting to Nature - Kootenay Landscape Painting Series
Over eight months, participants came together to explore the Kootenay landscape through plein air sketching and painting, engaging in research, reflection, conversation, and supportive critique. Through studying inspiring artists, consistent practice, and peer feedback, participants developed their technical skills, expanded their confidence, and took greater risks in their artistic expression. The project fostered individual growth while strengthening the sense of community and shared purpose that ArtSpace provides as a creative home. The works in this exhibition represent each artist’s unique response to the landscapes of the Kootenays. Together, they reflect a collective commitment to creativity, community, and a shared connection to the natural world that surrounds us.
