The Tilted Brick Gallery, in collaboration with the Creston Valley Museum, proudly presents a retrospective exhibition of the paintings and pastel works of Margaret Moore.
Margaret Ethel Moore (1913–2010) was an artist known for her portraits of Indigenous life and culture, especially the Ktunaxa people, during the 1950s and 60s. Born in Calgary, she moved to Creston, BC, in 1959 with her family. Margaret specialized in painting First Nations elders and scenes that captured traditional Indigenous ways of life, often traveling extensively with her husband to meet her subjects
