Tilted Brick Gallery
Founded five years ago by local artist Marnie Temple, The Tilted Brick Gallery
began in the donated upstairs space at Casey’s Community House. When Marnie
and her husband, Jim, renovated the space, Casey’s owner Ralph Casemore—a
skilled bricklayer—was asked to give one wall a “tilted brick” twist. Ralph joked
that it was the hardest job he’d ever done, but his creative effort became the
gallery’s enduring namesake and a tribute to his craftsmanship.
Now housed in the Creston Visitor Centre, thanks to the generous support of the
Town of Creston, The Tilted Brick Gallery continues as a non-commercial
exhibition space. Its mission is to celebrate the best of local art, provide emerging
and established artists with professional exhibition experience, and offer the
Creston community a window into the broader art world.
